Dana Tarasavage (she/her)
Teaching Crew
Dana identifies as a world citizen. She has been a yoga practitioner since 2004 and has a 200 Hour RYT from Urban Ashtanga Yoga Shala in Orlando, Florida. In 2011, she began making annual month-long trips to Mysore, India to study Ashtanga Yoga, including āsana, Yoga philosophy, Sanskrit, and chanting. She has additional certifications in Vinyasa and Restorative, has been a co-director of Yoga Teacher Trainings in NYC, and is currently a Master's Degree candidate in Yoga Studies with a focus on Yoga Philosophy and Sanskrit at Loyola Marymount University.
Her teaching approach is inspired by a motivation to help students experience, understand, and thus learn to listen to their bodies and breath through supportive and precise cueing and sequencing. She blends classical Yoga Philosophy with accessible anatomy and movement to encourage students to build and sustain a holistic lifelong practice. Dana facilitates yoga because it teaches awareness, which in turn offers continual opportunities for self-inquiry, leading to freedom from limiting beliefs and habits.
